The University of Nottingham Sub Aqua Club is a student branch (branch No. 822) of the British Sub Aqua Club, the largest independent diving club in the world.

We offer a program of diving for every level from beginners to advanced divers. Luckily we have the facilities at the University. We have access to an excellent training pool (with a moveable floor!) and great lecture theatres (as you would expect).

Throughout the year club trips are organised which vary from day trips to the local quarry to week long expeditions.

We run a core training program from Ocean Diver through to Advanced Diver. So whether you are just starting out or looking to develop your skills we have something for you.

The club also runs Skill Development Courses. These courses progress your training past the core Diver training and into areas that require more specialised knowledge.

We have a core of experienced instructors mostly UoN alumni. Instructors vary from Assistant Instructors up to Advanced Instructors and we have links with the BSAC region to provide more advanced training.

Equipment is provided when you are just starting out. The only things you will have to invest in are a mask, fins and snorkel for your pool training, all of which can be used for the rest of your diving career (and whilst on holiday).

We have a large stock of kit and our own air compressor, all of which are available to club members.

We also have two boats (both RIBs) which anyone suitably qualified can use for just the cost of taking them out.

The club welcomes help in any area, it is run totally on a voluntary basis. Just contact one of the committee to offer your help and you will not only be helping the club but you will learn loads.
